Terminology Tuesday: William Alston (1921-2009)
North American Christian Philosopher who has done important work in epistemology, philosophy of language, philosophy of perception and philosophy of religion. Alston was part of the group (along with Alvin Plantinga and Nicholas Wolterstorff) that developed Reformed Epistemology. He was also the prime mover behind the founding of the Society of Christian Philosophers. He served as the first president of that organization as well as the first editor of its journal, Faith and Philosophy.
