Yes, I agree that smart people can believe in God, but that doesn’t show why the analogy fails. Children have Santa, and adults have Yahweh.
Perhaps we should outgrow *both* of them.

I would be reluctant to publish anything produced by Randal Rauser. He is clearly a progressive who actively refutes the inerrancy of the Holy Scripture. I suggest you research his theology and remove this.
