Debate: Should Christians reject natural theology?
Jay Dyer thinks we can’t discern God and apply apologetics by only using arguments from reason and logic. Trent Horn disagrees and sees that the proofs for God open the doors to faith in God. What do you think?
The Counsel of Trent: In this debate Jay Dyer defends the claim that Christians should abandon natural theology and Trent Horn critiques that claim.

I just wanted to point out, as I’d tried to find any text-based comments on this debate and came across this site, that this is a mischaracterization of Dyer’s opening statement: he clearly says that he is not opposed to natural reason or contemplation, but natural theology specifically, opting for a presuppositional apologetic approach instead (ie swapping paradigms and comparing which of the two is more accordant with reality, and pointing out the flaws of such).
That said, I’m not defending Dyer, as a Catholic myself, just thought it was worth pointing out. They both talked past each other in this debate it seems.
