Sunday Quote: Charles Ryrie on Theology
“Theology is for everyone. Indeed, everyone needs to be a theologian. In reality, everyone is a theologian — of one sort or another. And therein lies the problem. There is nothing wrong with being an amateur theologian or a professional theologian, but there is everything wrong with being an ignorant or sloppy theologian.”

Reminded me of C. S. Lewis in Mere Christianity: "Theology is practical: especially now … if you do not listen to Theology, that will not mean you have no ideas about God. It will mean you have a lot of wrong ones – bad, muddled, out-of-date ideas. For a great many of the ideas about God which are trotted out as novelties today are simply the ones which real Theologians tried centuries ago and rejected."
