    Hi there,

Does this count as a comment for the book contest? LOL!

Anyhow, in a world that is increasingly becoming post-christian, and anti-christian, it certainly is becoming more and more important for "ordinary" Christians to become well-versed in apologetics!

    Blessings,
    William Dicks

  2. David March 29, 2010

    Very interesting interview.

  3. Brian March 29, 2010

Yes, that counts as a comment.

  4. David March 29, 2010

    Hope I win 🙂

  5. Dan Rodger March 29, 2010

Its a such a shame there isn't anywhere here in the uk where you can study for a MA in Apologetics…I would be there in a flash ;(

  6. Brian March 29, 2010

Dan, there is the distance learning option with Biola. Also check out the opportunities found this link.

  7. Alfonso Alvarez March 29, 2010

What book are you giving out anyway Brian? Have a good week ahead!

  8. Brian March 29, 2010

2 copies of Five Sacred Crossings (see above)

Thanks for the great work your doing for the Lord, I have a friend in the MA Apologetics program now!

Dan from the UK, you may not have a MA program in apologetics, but you don't need it. The Oxford Center for Christian Apologetics (www.theocca.org) has a one-year certificate program that will rival anything here in the States.

  12. Tobias March 29, 2010

    Dr. Hazen rocks. 🙂

  13. emmzee March 29, 2010

Dan, two distance options that you could investigate (in addition to the Oxford Center option noted above) are both from TRACS accredited schools (ATS is the "premium" accreditor of Christian seminaries in North America but TRACS is still entirely valid & legitimate accreditation):

    Southern Evangelical Seminary
Master of Arts in apologetics (or philosopy)
    http://ses.edu/Academic/DegreesSchools/MasterofArts/tabid/244/Default.aspx

    Luther Rice University
    Master of Arts in apologetics
    http://www.lru.edu/Content.aspx?page=MA%20in%20Apologetics&tool=quicklinks

That said, although these degrees may be very interesting and teach you a lot, their practical utility would be limited, so make sure you understand exactly what you are getting and how the credential could (and could not) be used before you enroll.

  17. Alfonso Alvarez March 29, 2010

    Okay, I saw it.

  18. Brian March 29, 2010

Awesome interview! I want the book!!

  19. fuller05 March 29, 2010

    Sound like a good book.

  22. Chargers March 30, 2010

    In! (woo-hoo!)

PS – Found 315 via STR blog. Thanks a TON for all the resources! (So stoked to know Nash's stuff is mp3'd – I listened to an awesome "tape" series just over a decade ago. My how much more convenient and cheaper getting worthy material into our ears has become w/podcasted mp3s!)

  23. D.B. March 31, 2010

Thanks for offering the free books. I have enjoyed many of your digests of all things apologetics. Thanks for all the hard work.

  24. Julie Wanis April 2, 2010

You guys are the greatest! Keep up all the good work 🙂

  25. dashworth April 2, 2010

Nice giveaway, and thanks for the news and updates!

  26. Mikel April 2, 2010

    Great contest!

  27. Mikel April 2, 2010

Craig Hazen is an awesome guy. And no other program touches the M.A. in Apologetics at BIOLA. Where else can you get a class with JP Moreland, one with William Lane Craig, another with Craig Hawkins and attend a Defending the Faith Lecture Series with Gary Habermas, Alvin Plantinga and others greats all in the same semester?

  28. Shark Attack April 2, 2010

I would like to do the MA in the future. I may start with the certificate program. Thanks for the interview and giveaway opportunity Brian.
